The Strength of My Heart

So it's been a few weeks since my surgery and I finally had the follow up with my doctor. He explained some things to me:
  1. He didn't expect to see so much endometriosis and so fast after giving birth
  2. He is baffled as to why I still feel really sick
  3. He advised that if we are going to get pregnant, to hope that we do right away
I feel less pain in my pelvis. Just some random cramping. However, I am really tired and nauseated and dizzy. In fact, I am just now laying down from my attempt to do a easy, short workout in hopes of maybe gaining some extra energy and instead I am so nauseous and dizzy and sick feeling! I think I could throw up, pass out, and sleep for 4 hours!

I am going to start taking my diet seriously now in hopes of feeling better. As well as incorperating an even more pathetic laid back workout. I am pretty convinced I was made to be ill. Maybe the Lord has called me to a ministry of "serving through it". Hey, I am down for anything as long as it brings glory to my Savior!

How do I continue to press on? Really, through reading the Bible. I know God's Word, His promises and His character. I know He loves me and knows my circumstances. I know He will sustain me. When I am feeling super ill, I just kick my feet up and read some of His Word. The house may never be as clean as it should be, but at least I am sane! :)

My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26
Do you really believe that?!? When your heart, or your strength fail, when your emotions get the best of you, when you are so physically exhausted, is God your strength?!? Oh, how simple and stress-free life becomes when we really put our actions in line with this simple yet powerful truth!! God is our strength. God is my strength.

  2. I would gladly be sick for you so that you could feel great for an entire day! You are an example to those who are going through health problems and remaining joyful. I sometimes think of you when I start to groan and moan about things that aren't as comparable to what you go through. It certainly keeps me in check.
