Magic Stix 12pk Review!

Hanukkah and Christmas are WONDERFUL times in the Deputie Household! We take November and December off formal schooling and spend our time with: crafts,
cookings,
baking,
movies,
games,
books,
more crafts!
Late nights and late mornings.
Snuggling,
Laughter,
Laziness,
Creativity,
Projects,
Eating...
You get the point!

Whether it's making Hanukkah dreidels, Hanukkah window decorations, Christmas cards, or just coloring in coloring books, a set of good markers is crucial. This year we had the privilege to review The Pencil Grip's Magic Stix 12pk over this holiday season!

These Magic Stix markers are unique in that they promise to work up to 7 days without the cap on! Since Hanukkah is 8 days long, we put this to the test by leaving one market out without the cap and writing one letter a night to spell out Hanukkah to see the progression of the "drying out" processes:

I was amazed at the end of each day writing a letter and it looked just as fresh and bold as the night before! In fact, day 7 & 8 without a cap looked bolder then the first days!

These markers are also non-toxic, odor-free, come in bright and bold colors, and claim to be washable. They have a vented safety cap. We found that most of these are washable, with the exception of the dark blue. It stained our hands (mouths and faces and legs, and arms, and bellies) for a good 8-hours before finally coming off. The rest of the colors were pretty washable.

We did a few projects using these markers

Two of which were making our dreidels:

And making Hanukkah window decorations:

Overall we REALLY enjoyed the Magic Stix 12pk of markers! I think they're great for very little kids who don't know how to put the cap on since you don't have to worry about that missing cap; you have 7 days to find it!! I felt fine about my littlest put these markers in his mouth (I obviously didn't just let him put them in his mouth, but I wasn't worried about it). They're great for all ages. I loved using them and did some coloring of my own with them as well ;)

Happy Hanukkah!
